Cheryl Ilov

shares how her own journey through pain and recovery inspired her entrepreneurial journey. How she became an accidental entrepreneur and a reluctant ninja. The principles of martial arts revolutionized her mind and now she teaches the power of movement for training the brain.

A little bit about Cheryl...

Cheryl Ilov is an author, dancer, martial artist, and physical therapist. She is also a former chronic pain patient who began a journey of self-healing and lifelong learning after she was told by her medical team that she would never recover. She went from being a chronic pain patient to a physical therapist in private practice. Cheryl integrates her personal experience of recovering from a debilitating chronic pain syndrome with her education and experience as a physical therapist to help her clients enjoy a vibrant, healthy life.

Cheryl's journey includes training in an ancient Japanese martial art based on the art of the ninja and the samurai. She began her training at the tender young age of 47 after her acupuncturist convinced her that martial arts could help her heal from a traumatic experience.  Cheryl reluctantly signed up for a few classes, even though she knew she was going to hate it. Her goal was to take a few classes, learn a few self-defense techniques, then quit and move on with her life. Ten years later she became her teacher's first female black belt. Cheryl believes that there is an incredible amount of inner strength and power in each and every one of us, just waiting to be discovered.
